YOUR TEAM DOESN'T NEED MORE INFORMATION.
THEY NEED TO SHOW UP BETTER.
We help coaches build teams that reset faster, communicate under pressure, and compete with confidence — through a simple, proven system that works within your season.
You've Probably Seen This Before.
Your athletes have talent. But something keeps getting in the way of consistent performance.
Players shut down after mistakes instead of resetting
Communication disappears the moment pressure builds
Leaders don't step up consistently when it matters most
Effort and focus fluctuate game to game with no clear reason
Mindset conversations happen — but nothing actually changes
The issue isn't that your athletes don't know what to do. It's that they don't consistently do it — especially when it matters most.
FROM KNOWING → TO SHOWING UP
Most mental performance programs focus on teaching concepts. Athletes learn about mindset, resilience, and communication — and then go back to performing the same way they always have.
We take a different approach. Rather than adding more information, we help your team experience these skills together, build habits around them, and hold each other accountable — so the changes show up in real moments, under real pressure.
And because the program runs through you — the coach — it becomes part of your culture, not just something you tried once.
“Performance doesn’t change when athletes understand something.
It changes when they live it consistently as a team.”
What Is Mental Performance Connection Coaching?
MPCC is WeYouth's science-informed team program — delivered through a three-part module system designed to work within your existing season, led by you, supported by us.
Modules for Athletes
Short, expertly packaged modules delivered to every player on your roster. Each module targets a specific mental performance and connection skill — immediately applicable in practice and games. Athletes work through 8 modules covering every pillar of the Performance Diamond.
Modules for Coaches
You lead the culture. We equip you to deliver it. Coach review modules give you everything you need to teach each lesson to your team with confidence — no mental performance background required.
Modules for Parents
When parents understand what you're building, they reinforce it at home. Parent support modules keep families informed and aligned with what their athlete is learning — so the work doesn't stop when practice ends.
College Athlete Near-Peer Support
Your team also gets access to a college athlete mentor who supports you and your team in implementing the tools. They bring credibility, relatability, and energy that resonates with young athletes in a way that accelerates buy-in and results.
Our mentors include current and former athletes from BYU, University of Utah, Utah State, Utah Tech, University of Houston, Ole Miss, and more.
the performance diamond
WeYouth uses its trademarked Performance Diamond to guide development across four essential areas:
Skills
Mindset
Connection
Physical Health
When these are balanced, athletes perform better, develop healthier, and enjoy sports and life more.

What Coaches & Directors Are Saying
"The WeYouth model is the most impactful approach I've seen for mental development in young athletes. It helps them become more balanced — and balance is critical to flow state. When they're out of balance, it impacts performance. End of story."
Matt Schneck
Head Coach, BYU Men's Lacrosse — Repeat National Champion
"When mental skills, connection, and relationship coaching are approached in a structured and intentional way, the difference is immediately noticeable. Players communicate more clearly, connect more deeply, and are better equipped to manage pressure and adversity on the field."
Lee Davis

"We've seen instant impact on team performance right after mental performance connection coaching."
Matt Carlson
CEO, Club V
WE'VE TRIED MINDSET STUFF BEFORE. THIS IS DIFFERENT.
Most team mindset programs stay at the idea level. Athletes hear a concept, nod their heads, and go back to competing the same way. That's because information alone doesn't change behavior.
Athletes change when:
They feel genuinely connected to their teammates and believe in something bigger than themselves
The skills are experienced together — not just explained once and forgotten
They're held accountable in real moments, by real people they respect
Parents and coaches are reinforcing the same lessons on and off the field
MPCC is built to create all of that — through a system you lead, supported by our modules, our framework, and our people.

what is mental performance connection coaching?
WeYouth’s unique two coach model: Every athlete is guided by both a professional mental performance coach and a college athlete mentor—because development happens best through expertise and relatability. We’ve found that youth athletes develop faster and more effectively when expert instruction is paired with near-peer mentorship. The two-coach model allows athletes to be guided by experience while also learning from someone who has recently walked the same path.
MENTAL PERFORMANCE CONNECTION COACHING SESSIONS
Most participants benefit from at least eight sessions. Each 50 minute, in-person or virtual session includes the participant and usually two coaches, one older with more experience and one younger near-peer to provide relatability and encouragement.
The role of the coaches is to help participants set, plan, and achieve mental performance and connection goals.
No two coaching participants will ever have the same experience because Mental Performance Connection Coaching is individualized to the specific needs, goals, and personality of each participant. Coaches draw on research and evidence-based resources to help young people achieve their goals.
Cost for a single session is $125 if purchased individually. Sessions reduce to $100 per session if all six sessions are purchased upfront.
MENTAL PERFORMANCE LEARNING MODULES
Learning modules are short, expertly packaged, mental performance and connection tips that are designed to enhance performance on and off the field quickly! Module reviews are integrated with quick check-ins with one of our performance coaches. The eight online modules are delivered through LearnWorlds and include video and text instruction, goal setting, and evaluation features. Our athletes currently using the modules love the short focused approach.
Cost for eight self-guided module learning without a performance coach is $50.

Helping Athletes Perform With Confidence, Connection, and Balance
As athletes, parents, and coaches, we often underestimate the importance of the mental side of the game. Think of a time when you were in a slump, too hard on yourself for mistakes in games, or not satisfied with playing time. So much of this relates to mental performance. We can help you fix it and help you grow through a powerful, innovative approach.
what athletes learn
Through MPCC, athletes learn how to:
Reset quickly after mistakes
Play with confidence and freedom, rather than fear of failure
Manage pressure and emotions in games, practices, tryouts, school, and life
Build a healthier mindset
Communicate better with teammates and coaches
MPCC helps young athletes:
Reset quickly after mistakes
Perform with confidence instead of fear
Handle pressure more effectively
Stay balanced, healthy, and motivated
Enjoy the process of reaching their potential
Because when athletes are connected and balanced, performance follows.
the outcomes
“Over time, this work leads to meaningful performance gains and, just as importantly, a far better overall experience for players and families. Athletes grow more confident, resilient, and accountable, which strengthens team culture and encourages positive peer leadership. Parents consistently see improvements in how their children handle setbacks, relate to others, and enjoy the game. Traditionally, sports coaching focuses on only certain elements of player development. When mental skills, connection, and relationship coaching are added, the development process becomes truly holistic—supporting not just better players, but better people.”
—Lee Davis (club director/consultant, former Director of Coaching of Utah Youth Soccer Association)
The two-coach model accelerates growth
Most mental performance programs rely on a single coach. We’ve found that youth athletes develop faster and more effectively when expert instruction is paired with near-peer mentorship. The two-coach model allows athletes to be guided by experience while also learning from someone who has recently walked the same path.
The Benefits of College-Athlete Mentor Coach:
Increases athlete buy-in and trust
Creates natural mentorship and accountability
Makes sessions more dynamic, conversational, and engaging
Helps athletes apply mental skills in real relationships
Supports both confidence and connection—on and off the field
“I would want athletes to know that Connection Coaching will help you enjoy aspects of sports that you didn’t realize were there…and (make) you a better athlete.”

trusted by Youth Athlete development and sports leaders
Our approach is trusted by local and national leaders in youth athlete development.
“The WeYouth model is the most impactful approach I’ve seen for mental development in young athletes. It helps helps them become more balanced as athletes and balance is critical to flow state. When they are out of balance it impacts performance — end of story.”
— Matt Schneck (Head Coach BYU Men’s Lacrosse, repeat national champion)
“I’ve seen firsthand that mental skills, connection, and relationship coaching are among the most impactful—and most overlooked—areas of player development. Coaches at every level work tirelessly to support their players, yet very few are ever formally trained to intentionally develop communication, emotional regulation, leadership, and relationship skills. When challenges show up within a team environment, it’s often difficult to identify the root cause, and these areas end up being addressed informally or only after problems arise. When this missing piece is approached in a structured and intentional way, the difference is immediately noticeable. Players communicate more clearly, connect more deeply with teammates and coaches, and are better equipped to manage pressure, mistakes, and adversity on the field.”
