Help your Youth thrive on the field, at home, and in life!
Your Youth’s greatest advantage isn’t skills — it’s connection.
Most programs focus on skills. WeYouth focuses on what Harvard research* calls the single most powerful predictor of joy and well-being: close, meaningful relationships. Our two-coach model pairs licensed therapists with current college athletes — so the young people in your life get both the science and someone who's actually been there.

This isn't a parenting failure. It's a cultural shift
— and WeYouth is built to address it.
It’s Not Screens.
It’s Disconnection.

Founded by Dr. Kreg Edgmon (PhD, LMFT) and Maryn Edgmon (MS, OT), WeYouth brings together licensed therapists, certified coaches, and current college athletes — united by 30+ years of experience and one belief: that nothing will matter more in a young person's life than the relationships they build.
WeYouth is a Utah-based 501(c)3 nonprofit. We've spent seven years translating the best of science, therapy, and coaching into proven strategies for youth athletes and their families. We partner directly with sports clubs, and youth organizations — bringing our approach to mainstream youth who can be part of changing their generation's culture.
Trusted by Youth Sports Leaders
"The WeYouth model is the most impactful approach I've seen for mental development in young athletes. It helps them become more balanced — and balance is critical to flow state. When they are out of balance, it impacts performance. End of story."
— Matt Schneck, Head Coach, BYU Men's Lacrosse (Repeat National Champion)
"When mental skills, connection, and relationship coaching are added, the development process becomes truly holistic — supporting not just better players, but better people. Athletes grow more confident, resilient, and accountable."
— Lee Davis, Former Director of Coaching, Utah Youth Soccer Association
Testimonials
Real Families. Real results.
“We have definitely noticed a difference. Before she started, anything I would say as a parent she would disagree with, almost like a pit bull. Now it is very rare since she started sessions. She says things like ‘I can see where you are coming from on that.’ We’ve really seen a big change in her the last few months.”
— Mom of 18 year old cheerleader“We had tried many types of counseling for our son for years but none gave him the traction that Connection Coaching did. He was spending most of his free time gaming and we were concerned about his ability to launch while in his early twenties. After coaching he started setting goals, making connections with others, and became confident in making friends. Within six months he decided to move out, confident that he could make friends and continue progressing because of the skills he developed. I highly recommend this program to all my friends.”

-
Our services are designed for teens and young adults (typically ages 12–25), their parents, and athletic coaches or club directors. Whether your teen is a competitive athlete struggling with performance anxiety, a young person dealing with social disconnection, or a parent who wants to strengthen their relationship with their kid — we have a service designed specifically for your situation.
-
Connection Coaching is a proactive, goal-oriented coaching model focused on helping young people build communication skills, expand their friendships, and connect more confidently with others. It's not therapy — there's no diagnosis, no clinical treatment, and no stigma. Many families choose Connection Coaching precisely because their teen isn't in crisis but could benefit from intentional support. If deeper therapeutic needs emerge, our licensed therapists are available as well.
-
WeYouth's signature two-coach model pairs each participant with an experienced lead coach and a near-peer college athlete mentor. Research shows that young people develop faster when expert instruction is combined with mentorship from someone who has recently walked the same path. The college athlete mentor brings relatability, credibility, and lived experience — making sessions more engaging and helping teens actually apply what they learn.
-
Individual coaching and therapy sessions are $125 per session. Package pricing is available — sessions reduce to $100 each when a full program package is purchased upfront. We also offer a $50 self-guided Mental Performance Learning Module for athletes. All services begin with a free consultation so you can find the right fit before committing. As a nonprofit, we are committed to making our services as accessible as possible — contact us to ask about financial assistance options.

We offer both. All coaching services — including Connection Coaching, Mental Performance Connection Coaching, and Life Organization Coaching — are available in-person or virtually, giving families the flexibility to choose what works best for their schedule and location.
